I started showing dogs in 1998
with my first American Cocker, Aaron, a buff male.
He was shown owner handled to his Championship at 18 months. I then acquired
another male Cocker, Mocha, who finished at just 14 months with three majors
and a Sporting Group 1 from the classes at just a year old. Mocha was shown by
my good friend Colleen McDowell, but groomed by myself.
Our first Greater Swiss Mountain dog came to us
in the fall of 1998 as a pet. We've just recently added our second "Swissy"
Emma in Aug. of 2003. She's a real sweetheart and we hope to have her in the
show ring by next year.
In 2001, I was given my first Beagle, and fell in
love with the decrease in grooming and the wonderful happy-go-lucky attitude
of the Beagles. With my mentor,
Leah Bertagnolli to
guide me, we now have two Champion females and look forward to the future with
them...
Although I no longer show Cockers, I do want to
recognize them for their loving and sweet personalities. For teaching me to
groom and what it takes to keep a Show dog and coat in show condition. And for
that feeling of true accomplishment when you have a beautifully groomed dog,
that goes out and makes you feel proud! Please take a moment to view the
